Muharram Kab Hai :-
This year Moharram can be celebrated on 29th and 30th August.
The month of Moharram will start in the year 20 August in the year 2020, evening on the night of Jumme. It will end on the evening of 18 September. Because the Islamic calendar is based on the moon.
August 30 is the 10th date of Moharram on Sunday. Which is also known as Ashura. These moharrams are fresh.

Why is Muharram Celebrated :-
Moharram month which is considered to be a holy month in the Islamic calendar. In this month of gum in Moharram, we take out a procession of Moharram and also Tajiya.
On the 10th day of Moharram month, Hazrat Imam Hussain along with his 72 comrades in Karbala martyred for humanity. Tajiya and procession are taken out in his memory only.
The tradition of extracting the Tajiya is seen only among the Shia Muslims, while the Sunni community does not take the duty.
